I am Hemalatha I attended AVY and BST in the year 2009. Until then, I always thought yoga is a practice to keep ourselves healthy, but only after attending the course, I realized a beautiful life that we are not living. Guruvai Sarananam. My son and I attended AVY class during 2017 at Thiru Vika Nagar. It was a memorable and refreshing event. I attended AVY (7 days) when I was 26 years old working professional and mother of a one year baby, after my working hours in the evening. To my surprise, I felt very relaxing, and I was more energetic and productive during the course. I attended this course as I had hyperthyroid (TSH @ 26), which yielded high tiredness and rapid weight gain; doctors recommended heavy dosage medicines yet did not help me. Post the classes I felt blessed as my thyroid TSH level reduced from 28 to 6 within ten days. I was a homemaker, and I got the good news that I was pregnant again. My regular check-ups and my thyroid (TSH) level were a little on the lower side. I was confused and was put on Thyroxine medicine. During the postpartum period, the thyroid levels were not stable. It used to sway. I came to know about Atma Vichara Yoga(AVY) I decided to join and see what it was. Seriously I did not expect anything out of it. Since I had already learned different types of yoga. I thoroughly enjoyed the course I got immersed in it. On day 5 of the course, I found that my face glowed. My skin was looking vibrant, and I could see a shine and voila I was happy too. I started feeling so energized and happy. I was thinking to restart my career, and I had developed much self-confidence. Handling kids became very easy and enjoyable routine. I started to look at the positive side of everything that was happening to me. The morning after finishing my Pranayama, every day begins with fresh new ideas and lots of positivity. Meditation relaxes my mind, and I can handle every other situation with clarity. My higher level of consciousness has kicked, and I am not much disturbed by small ups and downs.
